Building Dreams

From the very first moment he could grasp a toy, Johnny has been captivated by the world of construction. His room is a vibrant testament to this passion, filled with an array of toy trucks—bulldozers, dump trucks, excavators—each one lovingly caked with dirt, a badge of honor from countless adventures. For hours on end, he transforms our gravel driveway into a bustling construction site, pushing his trucks across the stones, scooping up rocks, and meticulously crafting his own imaginative building projects.

One of the most unforgettable moments was when Unlimited Siteworks, LLC delivered a full-size excavator to our home. The thrill in Johnny’s eyes was palpable as he watched the massive machine being unloaded. He dashed outside, his heart racing, and stood there in awe, momentarily speechless, as if he had just encountered a real-life giant. The sheer magnitude of the excavator contrasted beautifully with his small frame, yet his excitement filled the air with an electric energy.

The following day brought an extraordinary opportunity: the operator invited Johnny to help level the land for AREA 42. It was a moment straight out of a dream for him! With his tiny hands gripping the controls, his eyes sparkled with wonder and determination. Under the gentle guidance of the operator, he maneuvered the massive machine with surprising finesse. As dirt shifted and the ground began to take shape, Johnny’s face lit up with a radiant smile, a reflection of pure joy and pride that I will cherish forever.

This experience transcended mere play; it was pure magic. Watching him steer that excavator, enveloped by the rhythmic hum of machinery and the earthy scent of freshly turned soil, we felt as though the future was unfolding right before our eyes. It was a beautiful reminder of the dreams that lie ahead. Kleese Construction is scheduled to begin on May 30, 2025, and I can only imagine the incredible journey that awaits Johnny as he continues to chase his passion for construction.
