Danksgiving

Our Danksgiving was a hit! Cannabuttered corn, "herbal" stuffing, THC infused candied yams... Mac n cheese, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, ham and turkey, dinner rolls, mashed potatoes and gravy, cornbread, cinnamon rolls, cookies, four different pies, ice cream, oh my goodness...

I had such a blast playing with childhood toys. One member brought their yo-yos and showed off some really cool tricks and then a few of us went on a mission to find string for Cat's Cradle. It felt like a time machine, going back another year each time someone made the next move to pass the cradle around. I was really surprised to still have Jacob's Ladder down by muscle memory.

There were many great ideas shared this weekend that I am looking forward to adding to our list of events and we also received some feedback that will help improve the safety of members even further. I am so incredibly grateful to have such an amazing crew on this Mothership. BIG THANKS to all of our members and supporters for making this dream a reality.

STORY TIME: Six years ago, my husband and I took our kiddo (who was 7 then) to a family-friendly music festival. One of the vendors there had this shirt and my kid thought the tie dye artist had intended for it to look like a turkey. Naturally, I had to get the "turkey" shirt... And later that year, I found a glass pipe to match!

I had no idea that Minnesota would legalize recreational use and could not have dreamed of having a "Danksgiving" meal at some place like AREA 42. We have only officially been "open" for 4 months and already have 17 members in our club. I am incredibly grateful and humbled by this. Huge thanks to everyone involved. My heart is full this holiday season.

However, we know the holidays aren’t always easy. Especially for those that don't have a family that’s healthy, supportive, or even present—and that’s exactly why AREA 42 exists.   

This Thanksgiving and Black Friday, the doors to our lounge will be open for anyone 21+ who wants to:
