AREA 42 operates as a Private Membership Association (PMA), and all data practices reflect the confidentiality, member‑only structure, and values outlined in our bylaws, community guidelines, and membership agreements.

By downloading or using the App, you acknowledge and agree to the terms below.

a. Membership & Identity Information
To maintain the integrity and safety of our PMA, we may collect:

Name, email address, and date of birth (21+ requirement)

Membership type (Space Cadet, Cosmic Cannaisseurs, etc.)

Signed membership waivers and agreements

Background check results when required by PMA policy

b. App & Community Participation Data
Event registrations, check‑ins, and attendance

Participation in Soular Exploration modules, workshops, and activities

In‑app messages, feedback, and community engagement

Activity logs related to games, rewards, or point systems referenced in orientation materials

c. Device & Technical Data
Device type, operating system, IP address

Crash logs and performance analytics

General location (for event recommendations and timezone alignment)

2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:

Verify eligibility and maintain accurate PMA membership records

Provide access to member‑only events, resources, and equipment

Support community features, including Discord access and VIP categories

Facilitate billing, renewals, and membership management

Maintain confidentiality and uphold PMA bylaws, including non‑disclosure expectations

Improve app performance, safety, and user experience

Communicate updates, transmissions, and policy changes through official channels (e.g., Discord announcements, mailed newsletters)

3. Confidentiality & Non‑Disclosure
Confidentiality is a core value of AREA 42.
In alignment with PMA bylaws and community guidelines:

Member identities, activities, and internal discussions are strictly confidential.

We do not disclose member information outside the PMA without explicit consent, except as required by law.

Members agree not to share internal content, images, or discussions externally without permission.

Posting or tagging other members online requires explicit consent for each instance.

4. Cannabis‑Related Information
AREA 42 permits legal cannabis consumption at private, members‑only events.
Within the App, we may collect:

Event participation data related to cannabis‑friendly gatherings

Acknowledgment of cannabis‑use policies as part of membership or guest waivers

We do not:

Sell cannabis

Track consumption details

Encourage unlawful use

Members affirm they are 21+ and responsible for their own choices.

5. Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share limited data with:

Founders and Board of Directors for governance purposes

Event hosts for registration and safety

Service providers (e.g., payment processors, analytics tools)

Legal authorities if required by law

All shared information remains consistent with PMA confidentiality standards.

6. Membership, Billing & Financial Data
The App may store or process:

Membership level and dues

Auto‑renewal status

Billing history and payment confirmations

All payments follow the PMA’s membership terms:

Dues are non‑refundable once processed

Auto‑renewal is active unless canceled

Price adjustments may occur with advance notice

7. Dispute Resolution
All disputes related to membership, app use, or association activities follow the PMA’s binding arbitration process:

Informal resolution → mediation → binding arbitration

Arbitration replaces the right to pursue litigation in public court

All proceedings remain confidential

8. Data Security
We use encryption, secure servers, and access controls to protect your data.
While no system is completely secure, we uphold strict confidentiality and safety standards consistent with PMA values and bylaws.

9. Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for adults 21+.
We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
