Acknowledgment of Membership Status
By signing, I confirm that I have read, understand, and agree to all terms, conditions, policies, and guidelines outlined in this orientation for the AREA 42 Private Membership Association (PMA). I understand that AREA 42 operates outside of public jurisdiction and is governed by its own bylaws and policies. I acknowledge that my participation is voluntary and that I accept all associated risks. I know that failure to comply with these terms may result in suspension or termination of my membership.
Criminal History Consent
I allow AREA 42 to conduct a background check on me, including a review of my criminal history. I understand this is a part of the application process and that the presence of criminal charges may impact my membership eligibility, at the sole discretion of the Captains. I further acknowledge that any new criminal charges occurring after membership is granted may result in immediate removal from the AREA 42 PMA without refund.
Assumption of Risk
I understand that participation in AREA 42 activities, events, and services may involve inherent risks. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my membership and participation, including but not limited to physical, financial, and legal risks.
Waiver of Liability
I hereby release and hold harmless AREA 42, its founders, Captains, members, partners, and vendors from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising from my participation in the association. This waiver applies to any injury, loss, or damage incurred as a result of my membership.
Confidentiality Agreement
I agree to maintain the confidentiality of all proprietary information, discussions, and materials shared within AREA 42. I will not disclose any private association matters or member information to non-members or external parties without explicit consent. This includes refraining from posting or tagging members online—whether in photos, captions, or comments without their prior permission for each occurrence.
Cannabis Use Acknowledgment
I understand that AREA 42 events may include the use of legal cannabis within the bounds of applicable state and local laws. I affirm that I am 21 years of age or older, and I accept full responsibility for any cannabis consumption. I acknowledge that AREA 42 does not sell cannabis nor encourage unlawful use.
Membership Terms and Amendments
I acknowledge that AREA 42 reserves the right to modify its membership terms, policies, and bylaws at any time. I will be notified of any changes through official communication channels, and I understand that I have until the end of the current month to cancel my membership if I disagree with the updates.
Dispute Resolution Agreement
I agree that any disputes arising from my membership shall be resolved through binding arbitration, as outlined in AREA 42’s dispute resolution policy. I waive my right to pursue litigation in a public court.
Electronic Signature Agreement
By signing this form, I confirm that I have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to the terms of this waiver and that the information I’ve provided is accurate and complete. I acknowledge that this waiver is legally binding and enforceable.
