About the event
Come join "Hooked" for a Rope 101 class! This class is for everyone, beginner and up, and can be done solo or with a partner. There will be NO SMOKING permitted before or during this class, as the influence of substances may interfere with true consent and safety.
Here are some of the things you will learn in this class:
Safety First: Basic safety, recognizing potential risks, basic anatomy, and proper tool usage.
Rope Management: Different kinds of rope, basic care, and proper rope handling.
Techniques: Understanding tension and reverse tension, simple knots, and a single-column tie.
Gear: Ever wonder what to have in a rope bag? We’ll cover that, too.
